Let’s take a look at what we shipped in September and how Chainhook 2.0 is shaping up for its next milestone.
Chainhook 2.0 Alpha Testing
Load-tested, tuned, and exceeding expectations.
Alpha testing for Chainhook v2 kicked off this month, and the results have been outstanding. Early benchmarks show the system can support roughly 4× more registered chainhooks than v1, maintaining smooth event delivery simply by scaling worker counts.
During testing, the team registered up to 2,400 chainhooks and closely monitored performance metrics:
- Redis queues remained stable after scaling to 5–10 workers.
- CPU usage peaked around 43% for Postgres and 30% for Redis - well within expected limits.
- Memory growth stayed steady and predictable as we scaled.
In short, Chainhook 2.0 is proving to be significantly more efficient, resilient, and scalable - an excellent sign as we prepare for the upcoming beta.
Looking Ahead to October
With Chainhook 2.0 Alpha performing above expectations, we’re focusing on two key initiatives next month:
- Beta Release for Select Teams: We’ll begin onboarding a limited group of ecosystem partners to test Chainhook 2.0 within the Platform, gathering real-world feedback on reliability and performance.
- Documentation Refresh: As Hiro and Stacks Labs evolve into distinct organizations, our documentation will be updated to clearly reflect this new structure - helping developers understand where to find tools, APIs, and resources across both teams.
As always, we’ll continue iterating in response to feedback from early users. Keep an eye on the Platform and developer channels for updates as we move closer to the Chainhook 2.0 beta release.
